Our story begins with Avell Goodbud, a youth who lived a mostly normal life… until he decided to take the plunge and open his mind to the cosmos, using bud as the facilitator. Upon tripping out for the first time, he discovered that he had in fact inherited a portion of the Green Thumb path, an ancestral ability to make bud plants grow at an accelerated rate under nearly any circumstances—or to put it in his words, “Like some Jack and the Beanstalk shit.” With the blessing of his father, he sets off on an adventure with his three most trustworthy friends: Beltran Budragon, a mild yet fierce descendant of the Budragoons, Indica Sativa, a knowledgeable and energetic Bohemian, and Jimbo Stone, a bud-induced amnesiac who is always down to bust an insane mission. Together they head to the sacred grottos of Califia, in hopes of developing their respective powers and smoking fresh herb every step of the way.
